TIME WILL TELL
Ecclesiastes 3:1, NIV: There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven
There are times when time, it seems, stands still. And there are times it seems that time is passing by faster than you can measure. There are times when time seems to be a faithful companion--and times when time is your worse enemy. “There is a time,” Solomon tells us, “for every purpose under heaven.” And though it may seem that time is a commodity you seem to have so little of, it is enough to accomplish the purposes God has for you. Our limited time is most likely due to our difficulty managing it. We fill our time with less important things while the greater things so often get neglected. Perhaps in time, we will learn to fill our time more wisely. One thing is certain--only time will tell.

If You Forgive
True forgiveness is unconditional. That is what is so great about the forgiveness of God. He sees our imperfection, our self-centered nature and our tendency to wrong Him, yet He forgives us today knowing very well that we will fail Him tomorrow. He opens Himself up fully and freely to us, His arms open wide to receive us in love--knowing all too well that we will forsake that love if at a particular time we believe it is to our benefit to do so. (Therein we define "sin"). Shall we demonstrate the Love of God to enemies and friends alike, then we must also show forgiveness. Shall we truly forgive another of their wrongs against us? Then we, for the sake of true forgiveness, must forgive not only the sins of today or the past, but also the future.
Matthew 6:14-15, NIV: For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.

Righteous Struggle
It is a struggle to live righteously. It is especially difficult to live above suspicion of wrong doing. We live in a world of excuse makers, and unfortunately, many of us who are the children of God have adopted the self excusing mentality. The truth may be painful, it may be haunting and it may keep us up at nights, but it is something that must be faced. Like Paul, we must wrestle with it so that we can see ourselves as God sees us, so that He can continue His work of perfecting us without having to wait on us to open our eyes and admit that we are more prone to follow our own ways than His.
Romans 7:15, NIV: I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do.

Expectation
Probably one of the greatest obstacles to maintaining good relationships is the expectation so often placed on others. Believing someone should do a certain thing, say a certain thing, or be a particular way in a given situation often leads to undue criticism, and dissatisfaction. It is very unfortunate that we so often set up a measuring stick against our brothers and sisters in Christ that is base more upon personal preference, than upon the Word of God. We do this in the church--and we do this in our closest relationships. We should be encouraging others to become exactly what God wants, but what we want often clouds our thinking. When we consider others, let’s first consider asking God to correct our attitudes, so that we can love others for who they are now--and pray for them that God will continue to shape them as He desires.
Matthew 7:31-2, NIV: Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you

Coming Near
“Come unto me,” He says, “and I will…” And He will! He will give you rest. He will strengthen you, and uphold you. He will show you wonderful things you do not know. He will demonstrate again and again His unending love for you. He will, and He will. Come near to God, and He will come near to you. The closer we come to God, the more we feel the wonders of His grace, His blessings, and His presence. We come near, and we hear His voice more clearly with each passing day. We come near, and our faith becomes substance, and the troubles of this world fade in comparison to His provision. With all the wonderful things He has for us, it is baffling that we often do not draw near, but trust our own reason, ability and understanding. Don’t delay any longer--draw near, and He will…
James 4:8, NIV: Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
